After more than 63 wonderful years at The New Inn, our family has made the difficult decision to step away from running the pub and pass the reins on to someone new.
What started as a family venture all those years ago with Les & Margaret has become so much more than just a pub. It has been a place of laughter, celebrations, friendships, and countless memories shared with the local community and visitors alike. Over the decades we’ve experienced the good times, the challenging times, and even the strange Covid years, but through it all the support from our community has meant everything to us.
While this marks the end of an era for our family, it is not the end for the pub. We will be looking for the right tenant to take over the reins and continue its legacy, and we hope it will remain a thriving part of the community for many years to come.
We will be closing the doors on the 29th of March 2026, and we would love to raise a glass with everyone who has been such a big part of the pub over the years. We hope to see many of you in the coming weeks.
Thank you to all our loyal customers, staff past and present, friends and the wider community for your incredible support over the years — it has meant the world to us. The New Inn will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Takeaways
We've been doing takeaways throughout lockdown and we're glad to be able to keep this going for those that arent quite ready to venture out. Do get in touch to how we can help and to make any bookings.
Sunday Lunches
Bookings for Sunday lunch are between 12noon until 3pm
Its not your nans cooking but its a great second. Homemade hearty meals.
Excellent pub food with great friendly service. We had lunch after a walk with our dog and as usual it was hot, fresh and tasty. Great value.

What can I say, this pub is a true gem! The service, atmosphere and food were excellent. I can honestly say that was the best vegetarian lasagne I've ever had! Thankyou for making my partners birthday so special, we can't wait to return!

Traditional Sunday Lunch
Very welcoming pub! With lovely staff and a top notch chef!
Small and traditional! Lovely Sunday lunch! Choices of meat on the day were Beef / Turkey - really well cooked and tender
Veg was cooked perfectly with lovely flavouring.
Staff came over to check we had everything we required and ensured everything was up to a high standard!
Nothing was too much of an ask for extra gravy or side sauces.
Highly recommended.
